2 in a row for Kenseth as he wins the NASCAR Fontana race! Man, I don't know what to say, he sure had the car today. It's so rare that my favorites do this well in any sports heh.

Steven Wallace [31 Jul 2007|09:07am]

First let me say being from Columbus (living in Greenwood now) and driving by Tony's house every time I'm down there and I think he's home, SUNDAY WAS AWESOME!!!!!! A bunch of my in-laws went to the race, their very first stock car race. We had a great time, and that was a really good race considering how boring most of the Brickyard races have been.

I didn't hear about this on any racing website, so I thought I would pass it on to all of you. Apparently, Steven Wallace was beat up Sunday night/Monday morning. If I hear any updates, I'll pass it on!

Read this!!!

Yes, I know this is a little late, but who cares.

Anyway, what a great finish to such an ok race.

At first, I thought the 07 car was going to win, but he ended up in 7th place. So, the 07 car got 7th place from pit number 07, lol.

Also, what can we find when looking at the two cars that were inches apart at the finish line? Well 26-5=21, which is 7+7+7.

Have a great day!

Kurt Busch [08 Jun 2007|03:36pm]

[ mood | confused ]

I wasn't quite sure what to think of the penalty against Kurt Busch for Monday's incident. Then a guy on nascar.com reminded me of this:

And just three weeks ago, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was penalized 100 points and crew chief Tony Eury Jr. was fined $100,000 for an illegal part on the No. 8 team's Car of Tomorrow at Darlington -- a rear mount for the wing.

So in essence, a wrong part on the COT is treated the same as Busch nearly running over a man on pit road.

Robin Pemberton said that they parked him for the rest of the race at Dover, which I guess would be "like" a suspension. But not quite. I realize he finished 42nd and could have worked on his car and finished better, but still!!!

Don't get me wrong. I used to really like Kurt Busch. He held the door open for me at Roush Racing. Your thoughts???

Junior is leaving DEI at the end of the season.

Who's he going to drive for next year?

Childress, Hendrick, Gibbs or form his own team.

If Jeff Gordon's team did nothing wrong and it was unintentional then why would they put them in the back? They are taking it easy on HMS and i say this because 2 years ago at Dover Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch both failed post race inspection and before that finished 1 and 2 for the same reason Jeff got busted for,now if i'm wrong about their infraction please correct me. This wouldn't be a 2 sided arguement if HMS didn't have a history of cheating, but they do. Since i started watching racing in 2001 HMS cheated 9 times atleast the number could be higher, but i only remember those 9 (48 7 times, kyle Busch, and now Jeff) and i only know about the 48's 7 penalties cause DW mentioned it last year.

My other issue is the media is making Mikey out to be this big time cheater and that he wants Sympathy from the fans, but when your 9 year old daughter goes to her mom/your wife and says "mommy why did daddy cheat?" i'd imagine that would kill you and that's how Mikey felt,so of course he wanted to go home, plus he was embarrassed. I doubt he'd risk not racing in the biggest race just for sympathy, also Mikey is gonna fire Hyder for that infraction,so my question is why would he fire someone that he talked so highly of when he hired him if he knew what was going on?.

My last complaint is You can't call Mikey a cheater like he's cheated through his whole career because if he was a known cheater he'd have more than 4 wins and 3 poles in the 22 years he's been racing. You got a driver who won....

3 Daytona 500's
4 titles
75 wins
50+ poles
won on every track, but 3 all accomplished in 14 years, but do we hear people questioning his accomplishments? only fans that don't like Gordon.

"Mikey shoulda known what was going on with the car" or "Mikey knew what was going on" these are Quotes i've been hearing about on TV and sites, but once again we go back to HMS,so then i guess Jeff Gordon knew the 48 team cheated last year? i mean he is the co-owner,but once again no one brought that up. I am not comparing infractions to one another i'm stating a fact that cheating is cheating and no matter what you're trying to get an advantage over the competition.

Is it neccessary for Journalists to put a photo of Mikey spinning jr over the article about him racing his way in the 500? That wasn't even close to being the turning point of the race. They basically said that's how Mikey got a transfer spot in the 500.

Some Gordon fans may be mad about this post, but you know what? i'm tired of NASCAR taking it easy on HMS.
